Sensory integration disorder is not a stand-alone diagnosis. It can be seen in diagnosis groups with sensory integration disorder, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, learning disability, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, genetic and chromosomal disorders, and developmental delay.

Sensory causes: Tactile (tactile) sensory sensitivity, proprioceptive sensation seeking, children with vestibular escape may walk on tiptoe.

Neurological problems: The increase in the tone of the muscles on the back of the leg caused by damage to the brain can cause toe walking.

Muscle diseases: After the destruction of the muscles, there may be a tendency to walk on the toe with the body compensation mechanism.

Orthopedic problems: Achille tendon tension, shortness and tightness of the calf muscles (triceps surae) can cause toe walking.

In typically developing babies, toe walking can be seen for a certain period of time. The reason for this is that the sole-heel perception is not sufficiently developed when they first experience walking. However, if the baby prefers toe walking with a frequency of 70% or more during the day from the moment he/she starts walking independently, he/she should receive evaluation and support from the relevant specialist physician and pediatric physiotherapist.

It enhances bodily control and holistic body awareness by improving awareness of the body's background. It improves vestibular perception due to the position of the head. It enables the development of visual perception by improving visual spatial and shape ground awareness. Sequential movements during crawling help reciprocal brain regions establish connections with each other and improve bodily coordination. It enables the baby/child to contact different tissues on the ground with their hands and legs, thus developing their tactile sensory perception. Body awareness improves thanks to the increased proprioceptive stimulus, as more joint and muscle stimuli go during crawling compared to walking.

Slow stretching movements and deep breathing exercises that you will do with your child are suitable for the beginning. You can add calming music to your activities together. You can use weighted bags filled with items to the extent that the child can carry them. You can reduce the brightness of the lights in the environment, make him consume warm liquids, after a warm shower, you can do light-touch massages with vegetable oils such as baby oil or coconut oil. Chewing gum and hard healthy candies can also be good for your child.

Özellikle gelişimsel riskli ve otizm riskli bebekler ile çalışma konusunda deneyimli ekibimiz 3 yaşın altında eğitim ihtiyacı olan bebeklerle de uygun strateji ve yöntemler ile çalışmalarını sürdürür ve aykırı başarılar elde edebilirler.

Buna daha çok çocuğun tüm gelişim alanlarında alınan değerlendirmelerin sonucuna ve çocuğun eğitsel ihtiyaçlarına göre karar verilebilir. Bu hususta da birim koordinatörleri değerlendirmeler sonucunda elde ettikleri veriler ile birlikte aileyi çocuğun ihtiyaç duyduğu alanlarda eğitim alması için yönlendirir.

Temel hareket becerileri her çocukta öğrenme becerilerinde ihtiyaç duyulan pek çok önemli beceriyi destekler.  Yönerge alma, taklit, dikkat ve konsantrasyon, alan ve vücut farkındalığı, göz kontağı, etkileşim, yaşa uygun kaba motor becerilerin desteklenmesi gibi çalışmalar hareket eğitiminin önemli bir parçasıdır ve çocuğun özel eğitim derslerinde daha hızlı öğrenmesini sağlar.

Öncelikle bize ulaşarak değerlendirme randevusu oluşturabilirsiniz. Belirlenen tarihte çocuğun değerlendirmesi eğitimciler eşliğinde alınır ve çocuğun ihtiyaçlarına özgü bir program oluşturulur. Bu program aile ile paylaşılarak eğitim süreci başlatılır.
